Volleyball Recap: Buckeye Beats Desert Edge for Their Third Straight Victory

Buckeye entered their tilt with Desert Edge on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Scorpions. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Scorpions, too.

While Buckeye might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Desert Edge scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 24-26, 25-21, 25-22.

Among those leading the charge was Erick Rivera, who had 13 digs and two aces. What's more, he posted three assists, the most he's had since back in March.

Buckeye's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Desert Edge, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-7 record.

Coincidentally, Buckeye and Desert Edge will both be playing Independence the next time they take the court. The Scorpions will host the Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Hawks will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on the 17th.
