Volleyball Recap: Lawrence Free State Comes Up Short

Lawrence Free State was the 2-1 winner over Blue Valley Northwest when they last played one another last Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Firebirds fell just short of the Huskies by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. While the Firebirds didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Huskies 25-21 in the first set.

While Lawrence Free State ultimately came up short, they really made Blue Valley Northwest work, particularly in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-17, 26-24.

Anniston Clark paced Lawrence Free State's offense, picking up 24 kills. Clark got some help from Tesssa Nover-Estes and her 29 assists.
