Streetsboro's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Cloverleaf Colts an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won eight contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Mallorie Gierke, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hailey Miller, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Streetsboro's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Cloverleaf, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 14 of their last 15 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-19 record this season.

Streetsboro has already played their next matchup, a 7-2 loss against St. Vincent-St. Mary on the 13th. As for Cloverleaf, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 20-1 defeat against Elyria Catholic on the 14th.
