Softball Game Preview: Glendale Cardinals vs. Copper Canyon Aztecs

The Glendale Cardinals are taking a road trip to take on the Copper Canyon Aztecs at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Glendale has given up an average of 11.1 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Mohave hit Glendale with a five-run sixth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Cardinals lost 13-2 to the Thunderbirds. The Cardinals' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Glendale's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Copper Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 5-12.

Everything went Glendale's way against Copper Canyon in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Glendale made off with an 18-8 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cardinals since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
