            Softball Recap: Willow Spring Storm vs. Middle Creek Mustangs        
        
		
        
        
            Willow Spring's found some homefield redemption this week after a  overtime loss to Harnett Central on Tuesday. The Willow Spring Storm came out on top against the Middle Creek Mustangs by a score of  8-3. The Storm haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive  win against them.
 Savannah Callis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on four hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent  recently: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts any time she's  pitched this season.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Lynlee Ogburn, who  scored three  runs and  stole  Three bases. while going 3-for-4. Ogburn is  crushing it when it comes to  stolen bases: she's   snagged at least one every time she's  taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Abby Howard, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Willow Spring pushed their record up to 3-1 with the  victory, which was their 11th straight  at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games.
