Basketball Recap: Pipestem Christian Academy Comes Up Short on the Road Against Mount Hope Christian Academy

Pipestem Christian Academy kicked off their season on the road on Tuesday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 56-19 loss at the hands of the Mount Hope Christian Academy Warriors. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it eight in a row.

Mount Hope Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was MCKENNA JONES, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and ten rebounds. What's more, JONES racked up eight steals, the most she's had since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of SOPHIA PACK, who posted 15 points along with seven boards and seven steals.

Pipestem Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Beth Haven Christian at 1:00 p.m. on December 13. As for Mount Hope Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 78-15 victory against West Logan Christian Academy on the 20th.
