Despite their defeat, El Dorado saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Grant Thomas, who picked up 93 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 50 yards and a touchdown, was perhaps the best of all. Thomas also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble and making five total tackles in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown. Another rusher making a difference was J.P. Murray, who rushed for 91 yards and a touchdown.
El Dorado wouldn't let Foothill keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. El Dorado can thank Nate Larsen and Thomas for forcing both of them.
Huntington Beach's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for El Dorado, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
