Baseball Recap: Clay Center Continues Road Dominance on Monday

Clay Center proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by seven) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wamego Red Raiders, sneaking past 4-3. The Tigers haven't had any issues with the Red Raiders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Clay Center pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Wamego, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Clay Center beat the Red Raiders by a score of 4-3 later that day.
