Softball Recap: Irondale Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Irondale ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Roseville Raiders by a score of 8-5. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their six-game losing streak.

Annalise Foley spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits and racked up ten Ks. Those ten strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.

On the hitting side, Archer Norman was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. Maria Walsh also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Irondale's victory bumped their record up to 3-16. As for Roseville, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-13.

As of now, neither Irondale nor the Raiders have any future games scheduled.
