Football Recap: Hope Bobcats vs. Hot Springs Trojans
Hope was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 68-13 loss at the hands of the Hot Springs Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bobcats of the 53-13 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2023.
Despite the loss, Hope still got an impressive performance from Zyun Brown, who picked up 96 receiving yards and a touchdown. Brown's longest reception was for an incredible 90 yards. Noah Cheatham got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.
Hope's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Hot Springs, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 2-3 record.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hope will venture away from home to challenge Parkview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hot Springs, they are taking a road trip to square off against De Queen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
