Soccer Game Preview: California Academy of Math & Science vs. Cabrillo

The California Academy of Math & Science Coyotes will head out on the road to take on the Cabrillo Jaguars at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

California Academy of Math & Science fell victim to Hawthorne Math & Science Academy and their airtight defense on Monday. They lost 6-0 to the The Aviators. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Cabrillo was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Pacifica could gain the upper hand on Wednesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

California Academy of Math & Science now has a losing record at 1-2-1. Cabrillo's draw gives them a new season record of 4-2-1.

California Academy of Math & Science suffered a grim 5-1 defeat to Cabrillo when the teams last played back in November of 2023. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point California Academy of Math & Science was down 4-0.
