Softball Recap: Reseda's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Reseda's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. Everything went their way against the Monroe Vikings as they made off with a 17-4 victory. Considering the Regents have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Fuentes Thereze was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Jadira Umanzor was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI.

Reseda's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6. As for Monroe, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Looking ahead, Reseda will welcome Grant at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Regents are facing the Lancers at the right time seeing as the Lancers are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Monroe, they are taking a road trip to square off against North Hollywood at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Huskies' pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so the Vikings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
