Softball Recap: Alta Takes a Loss

Alta lost against Mountain Ridge back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Hawks lost 16-5 to the Sentinels. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alta saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bailey Thompson, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Alta's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Mountain Ridge, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alta will welcome Highland at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mountain Ridge, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Bingham at 3:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Sentinels 2.9, the Miners 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
