Volleyball Recap: Chetek-Weyerhaeuser Takes a Loss

Chetek-Weyerhaeuser was the 3-0 winner over Northwestern when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Saturday.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Northwestern scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19.

Chetek-Weyerhaeuser has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Northwestern, they pushed their record up to 12-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Chetek-Weyerhaeuser didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Baldwin-Woodville on the 27th. As for Northwestern, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Turtle Lake on the 27th.
