The biggest upset of the week belonged to Rosa Fort, who took down 128th ranked Rosa Fort, 15-14. Trey Jolly threw for 168 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
New Albany was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to fourth in 4A Region 2. The Bulldogs defeated Senatobia 14-7 earlier in the week.
Brandon Mack provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Lafayette defeated Lewisburg. He completed seven passes for 112 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 134 yards. Mack's favorite target this week was DK Buford, who caught two passes for 48 yards.
Boston Newsome was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 171 yards on 34 carries as New Albany fell to North Pontotoc. O.J. Hardin also contributed to the rushing game with 12 yards on the ground.
Carter was the best wideout in the league this week as Rosa Fort fell to the Vikings. Carter tallied six receptions for 95 yards. Jalen Miller helped Rosa Fort's passing attack out by catching two balls for 57 yards.
North Pontotoc's Jolly and Marcus Green have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading 4A Region 2 in both passing and receiving yards. Jolly has thrown for 1605 yards this season, while Green, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 34 catches for 580 yards. Ron Price's team's Newsome leads the league in rushing yards with 1054.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Bulldogs take on Brian Sutton's team. New Albany is in fourth place, while the Vikings are in second place.
The Commodores extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Patriots, 28-13. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
