Harlan has gone 7-0 against O'Connor recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Harlan Hawks will head out on the road to square off against the O'Connor Panthers at 5:00 p.m. Harlan's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Last Tuesday, Harlan came up short against Brennan and fell 3-1.

Harlan's goal came courtesy of Josh Olivares, which was the first he's scored this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask O'Connor). They never let Fox Tech onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory on Saturday. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 174th, while the Buffaloes are ranked 354th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Harlan now has a losing record at 2-3-1. As for O'Connor, the win got them back to even at 3-3-1.

Harlan took their victory against O'Connor when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Harlan since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
