Baseball Recap: Northwest Comes Up Short

Northwest managed to slip by South Webster the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mohawks came up short against the Jeeps on Thursday, falling 11-1. The Mohawks' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it five in a row.

Aiden Armbrister made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season.

Northwest's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for South Webster, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-6.

Looking ahead, Northwest will square off against Piketon at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for South Webster, they will challenge Minford at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Falcons' pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so the Jeeps' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
