Baseball Recap: Brother Rice Has No Trouble Against Central Catholic

Brother Rice won the last time they faced Central Catholic and things went their way on Saturday too. The Warriors put the hurt on the Fighting Irish with a sharp 15-8 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Brother Rice got a massive performance out of Broder Katke, who went 4-for-6 with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. Those four stolen bases gave Katke a new career-high. Tristan Turner also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Brother Rice always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Brother Rice's record is now 15-10-1. As for Central Catholic, they dropped their record down to 5-15 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Brother Rice beat the Fighting Irish by a score of 8-5 later that day.
