Basketball Recap: Tallwood's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Tallwood can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They strolled past the Ocean Lakes Dolphins with points to spare, taking the game 59-40. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Despite the loss, Ocean Lakes still got an impressive performance from Chase Mullen, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 16 boards. Mullen is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least 13 every time he's taken the court this season.

Tallwood's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Ocean Lakes, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Tallwood will head out on the road to square off against First Colonial at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in First Colonial's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Ocean Lakes has already played their next game, a 66-62 defeat against Great Bridge on the 11th.
