Softball Recap: Liberty Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Liberty entered their tilt with Reynolds on Monday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the Raiders. This was payback for the Falcons, who suffered a 4-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Braelyn Harrison spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Sadie Caldwell was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing four bases while going 2-for-3. Those four stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rylee Mathews, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

The victory got Liberty back to even at 5-5. As for Reynolds, their loss was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-6.

Looking ahead, Liberty will challenge North Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Reynolds, they will face off against Nelson at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
