Basketball Recap: Nickerson Takes a Loss

Nickerson lost against Cheney back in February of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Nickerson Panthers were dealt a 71-5 loss at the hands of the Cheney Cardinals. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Nickerson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Cheney, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

When Nickerson and Cheney next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Nickerson will try to stop Haven's seven-game winning streak when the meet on Tuesday. Similarly, Cheney will face off against Hesston and their five-game winning streak at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
