Volleyball Recap: Johana Stone and Sam Sarlatte Secure Win for St. Vincent De Paul + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only St. Vincent de Paul walked away with it. They put the hurt on the North Hills Christian Eagles with a sharp 3-0 win on Wednesday. The Mustangs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: St. Vincent de Paul took every set by at least 17 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-3, 25-8, 25-7.

St. Vincent de Paul was led to victory by Sam Sarlatte and Johana Stone. Sarlatte had five aces and four digs, while Stone had three digs and two aces. Stone has been hot, having also posted 18 or more assists the last five times she's played.

They weren't the only good servers: St. Vincent de Paul was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 28 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive contests.

St. Vincent de Paul's victory bumped their record up to 14-15. As for North Hills Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.

St. Vincent de Paul has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against St. Bernard's on the 1st. North Hills Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
