Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cape Hatteras). They blew past the Ocracoke Dolphins 59-31 on Friday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-7.

Cape Hatteras' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Paizley Schultz led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. The dominant performance gave Schultz a new career-high in rebounds. Taylor Hickman was another key player, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 boards.

Cape Hatteras smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

The win made it two in a row for Cape Hatteras and bumps their season record up to 8-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.0 points over those games. As for Ocracoke, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Looking ahead, Cape Hatteras will face off against Columbia at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ocracoke, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Washington Montessori at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
