Baseball Recap: North Reading Continues Road Dominance on Wednesday

North Reading had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Weston Wildcats, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Hornets have posted since May 13th.

North Reading pushed their record up to 18-4 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Weston, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-6.

As of now, neither North Reading nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
