Basketball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Culver Community

Culver Community hadn't done well against Rochester recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Cavaliers snuck past the Zebras with a 42-36 win. The victory was nothing new for the Cavaliers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Several Zebras players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jadyn Field, who went 6-for-11 on her way to 13 points and eight rebounds. Ali Field was another key player, shooting 75% from the field to rack up 12 points and eight boards.

Culver Community's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Rochester, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Culver Community will take on Lakeland Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Rochester, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Southwood at 7:45 p.m.
