Basketball Recap: Saturday's Victory Is Sandy Creek's Eighth in Last Nine Outings

Sandy Creek had won two straight home games and Morghan Reckley did her part to make it three on Saturday. The Sandy Creek Patriots simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Whitewater Wildcats 77-7 thanks in part to Reckley, who almost dropped a triple-double on 35 points, nine boards, and 15 steals. The contest was her 19th in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Lauryn Ferguson, who went 5 of 9 en route to 12 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those five boards gave her a new career-high.

Sandy Creek is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Whitewater, they are on a 19-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-20.

Sandy Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-48 victory against Trinity Christian on the 28th. Whitewater has also already played their next contest, a 66-20 defeat against Fayette County on the 28th.
