Elko had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their defense stepped up to hand the Douglas Tigers a 21-0 shutout on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Ethan Kraintz was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 110 yards and one TD, and also threw for 86 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
