Lincoln Mallarnee leads Carrollton to victory over Salem

Recap: Carrollton Warriors vs. Salem Quakers

The Carrollton Warriors's six-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They managed a 45-41 victory over Salem. The victory was just what Carrollton needed coming off of a 81-32 loss in their prior match.

Lincoln Mallarnee was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Carrollton's points. Andrew Birong was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.

Carrollton's victory bumped their record up to 2-8. As for Salem, they bumped their record down to 3-4 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Carrollton will square off against West Branch at 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday. West Branch presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Carrollton in Ohio (West Branch is ranked 166th, while Carrollton is ranked 630th). As for Salem, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Marlington at 6:45 p.m.
