Football Recap: Friday's Defeat Ends Goliad's Winning Streak + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Goliad can now relate to. They came up short against the Llano Yellowjackets on Friday, falling 31-7. Having soared to a lofty 49 points in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Goliad didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Lamont Franklin and Brody Brookhouser.

Leading Llano to victory were Cole Landers and Graham Prokop. Landers rushed for 89 yards and one score on only nine carries, while Prokop picked up 69 receiving yards and one touchdown.

The defeat snapped Goliad's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-3 record. As for Llano, the victory (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-1.

Goliad does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Llano, they will face off against Edna at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
