Decatur beats Parkside for their ninth straight win

Recap: Decatur Seahawks vs. Parkside Rams

The Decatur Seahawks put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed by Parkside at home to the tune of 50-14. The result was nothing new for Decatur, who have now won seven matches by 24 points or more so far this season.

It was another big night for Brycen Coleman, who threw for 265 yards and four touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Decatur also got help from Gavin Solito who showed off his sure hands for 89 receiving yards.

Despite the loss, Parkside still got an impressive performance from Canaan Mapp, who rushed for 54 yards and two touchdowns.

Decatur's win was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29.6 points. As for Parkside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Decatur will look to defend their home field on Friday against Easton at 6:00 p.m. Easton has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since September 1. Parkside is on the road again on Friday and play against Kent Island at 6:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
