Volleyball Recap: Nerinx Hall Comes Up Short

Nerinx Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the St. Joseph's Academy Angels, falling 3-0. The Markers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Angels from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Nerinx Hall took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-15, 25-23.

Kenzie Hartsell paced Nerinx Hall's offense, picking up seven kills. Hartsell got some help from Sophia Berra and her 11 assists. Finally, Josie LaRose kept Nerinx Hall's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Nerinx Hall's loss dropped their record down to 4-14. As for St. Joseph's Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-6 record.

After both having extra time off, Nerinx Hall and Parkway Central will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Joseph's Academy, they will challenge Howell at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
