Basketball Recap: Montgomery Central Comes Up Short

Montgomery Central played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Oak Grove Grizzlies 76-39. The Timberwolves haven't had much luck with the Grizzlies recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Oak Grove's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cora Hadley, who went 8 of 10 en route to 18 points and eight steals. Emma Hadley was another key player, going 8 for 11 on her way to 17 points and six steals.

Montgomery Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Oak Grove, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-7.

Montgomery Central will head out to challenge Ledford at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Oak Grove, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Central Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th.
