Softball Recap: Riverside Christian Academy vs. Christian Community Colts
Riverside Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell just short of the Christian Community Colts by a score of 10-8. Riverside Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Christian Community apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.
For Christian Community's part, Maely Jackson made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. Jackson was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lily Duvall, who went 4-for-5 with a triple, two RBI, and a run. Another player making a difference was KK West, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
