Seiling won the last time they faced Cherokee and things went their way on Monday too. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Chiefs with a sharp 15-3 victory. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by eight runs or more this season.
Seth Whetstone made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Whetstone was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
In other batting news, Blake Chain was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Landon King, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Seiling is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Cherokee, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

As for Cherokee, they will venture away from home to take on Carnegie at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
