Basketball Recap: Burroughs Comes Up Short

Burroughs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 66-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Canyon Springs Cougars. That's two games in a row now that the Bears have lost by exactly ten points.

Burroughs' defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Canyon Springs, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Burroughs will welcome Castaic at 3:00 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Castaic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Burroughs likes a good challenge. As for Canyon Springs, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 66-56 victory against Burroughs on the 28th.
