            Brewer has gone 9-1 against Mt. Blue recently and they'll look to pad the win column further  on Saturday. The Brewer Witches will face off against the Mt. Blue Cougars at 4:00  p.m. Brewer is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.4  points per game  this season.
Last Friday, Brewer was able to grind out a solid  victory over Bangor, taking the game  62-50. Given the Witches' advantage  in MaxPreps' Maine basketball rankings  (they are ranked 17th, while the Rams are ranked 99th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.

 Brewer's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but  Ollie Higgins led the charge by  going 7 for 8  on his way to 15  points and six  rebounds. The dominant performance also gave  Higgins a new career-high in  shooting accuracy (88%). Another player making a difference was  Steven Youngs, who  went 5 of 11  to rack up 12 points and seven  boards.
 Meanwhile,  it was a proper cat-fight when  Mt. Blue faced off against Gardiner last Monday. Mt. Blue walked away with  a   53-42  win over Gardiner. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive  victory against them.
 The  win made it two in a row for Brewer and  bumps their season record up to 15-3. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 61.5 points over those games. As for Mt. Blue, their victory bumped their record up to 13-6.
 Brewer came out on top in a nail-biter against Mt. Blue in their previous meeting  back in January, sneaking past  35-32. Will Brewer repeat their success,  or does  Mt. Blue have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
