Baseball Recap: High Point Extends Winning Streak to Five

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but High Point ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top against the DuVal Tigers by a score of 4-1. Those four runs were actually the fewest the Eagles have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The team relied heavily on Ramon Brito Jr, who scored a run and stole four bases while going 1-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryan Perez, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances.

The win keeps High Point at an undefeated 5-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average this season. As for DuVal, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
