Basketball Recap: Unity Christian Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Unity Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 44-37 win over the Spring Lake Lakers on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Crusaders: when they faced off against the Lakers back in January, they had to take a 42-35 defeat.

Unity Christian has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. Spring Lake dropped their record down to 11-9 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Unity Christian and Spring Lake should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. Unity Christian (ranked 123rd) will meet Jenison (ranked 252nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Spring Lake will square off against Coopersville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday up 284 places (116 vs. 400).
