Unity Christian took a hard 63-45 fall against Pathway Christian. If Unity Christian hoped to take revenge for the 57-41 loss against they when the teams met, then they were left disappointed.
Unity Christian lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Samm Wilbur, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Wilbur has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played. Noah VonHolten was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Even though they lost, Unity Christian were working as a unit and finished the game with 11 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.
Pathway Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Denver Nelson, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and six assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Nelson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryker Miller, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and two steals.
Unity Christian's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Pathway Christian, their win ended a eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-13.
