Basketball Recap: Prout Falls to Rogers in First Game of Season

Prout kicked off their season on the road on Thursday and hit a couple of potholes. They fell just short of the Rogers Vikings by a score of 43-41. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

When it comes to explaining why Prout lost, don't look at Ryan Antonucci. Despite the final result, he went 5-for-10 en route to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Martin, who posted four points.

Looking ahead, Prout won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against South Kingstown at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Rogers will take on North Providence in a holiday battle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Vikings their first taste of in-conference action this season.
