Volleyball Recap: Academy of Science and Innovation Beats Capital Prep for Their Third Straight Victory

Academy of Science and Innovation entered their tilt with Capital Prep on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Trailblazers with a sharp 3-0 win. The Ravens have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Trailblazers, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Academy of Science and Innovation was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-13, 25-12.

Jayden Ruiz paced Academy of Science and Innovation's offense, picking up five kills. Ruiz got some help from Demareon Taylor and his 13 assists. Taylor was also solid from the service line: he led the team with eight aces.

Academy of Science and Innovation now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Capital Prep, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.
