 Boise was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They fell  7-3 to the Meridian Warriors. Boise was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Meridian apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in April.
 For Meridian's part,  Trey Allen and  Mason Smith made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing,  Allen   didn't allow a single  earned run over five innings pitched. Meanwhile,  Smith   pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in six consecutive pitching appearances. At the plate,  Allen  went 2-for-3 with  an  RBI, while  Smith  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Caleb Boydston, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was  Rylie Byington, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Boise's loss dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Meridian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.
 Boise does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Meridian, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next  matchup,  a  14-5  defeat vs. Mountain View on the 8th.
