Softball Recap: Coginchaug Regional Comes Up Short

Thursday just wasn't the day for Coginchaug Regional's offense. They came up short against the Haddam-Killingworth Cougars on Thursday, falling 9-0. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Anna Meisenkothen was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple.

Coginchaug Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Haddam-Killingworth, their victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1.

Coginchaug Regional wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against Valley Regional on the 28th. As for Haddam-Killingworth, they will head out on the road to face off against Cromwell at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
