Basketball Recap: Albert Lea Comes Up Short

Albert Lea was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the John Marshall Rockets and fell 89-43. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 318th, while the Rockets are ranked 24th).

Albert Lea's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for John Marshall, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Albert Lea wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 96-81 victory against Mankato West on the 21st. John Marshall has also already played their next contest (against Red Wing), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
