Softball Recap: Apple Springs Comes Up Short

After soaring to 16 runs the game before, Apple Springs was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against the Alto Yellowjackets, falling 20-1. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Yellowjackets recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Apple Springs saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Faith Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Apple Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Alto, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Apple Springs will challenge rival Wells at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Alto is set to square off against their familiar foe Douglass at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
