Softball Recap: Suffern Mounties vs. Clarkstown North Rams

Suffern extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 17 on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 0-7 in the process. They came up short against the Clarkstown North Rams, falling 16-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-1 last Monday.

As for Clarkstown North, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by nine runs or more this season.

For Clarkstown North's part, the team relied heavily on Peyton Conti, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Siena DeCicco was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.

Coming up, Suffern will host Ketcham at 12:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for Clarkstown North, they will be taking part in a tournament against Nyack at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
