Baseball Game Preview: R.J. Reynolds Demons vs. West Forsyth Titans

R.J. Reynolds hasn't had much luck against West Forsyth recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The R.J. Reynolds Demons will square off against the West Forsyth Titans at 7:00 p.m. R.J. Reynolds has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

R.J. Reynolds is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs on Monday, they were much more limited against Mooresville on Thursday. They came up short against the Blue Devils, falling 13-2.

Meanwhile, West Forsyth had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 11-6.

West Forsyth's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for R.J. Reynolds, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.

R.J. Reynolds suffered a grim 15-0 defeat to West Forsyth in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can R.J. Reynolds avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
