Volleyball Recap: Lynn Classical's Victory on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Lynn Classical waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. They blew past the Malden Golden Tornados 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lynn Classical took every set by at least 12 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-12, 25-9.

Brooke Braswell paced Lynn Classical's offense, picking up 13 kills. Braswell got some help from Emma Chevalier and her 20 assists. Braswell was also solid from the service line: she led the team with nine aces.

Lynn Classical's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Malden, with the loss, they broke their seven-match winning streak and moved their record to 9-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Lynn Classical will head out to challenge Lynn English at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Malden, they will venture away from home to square off against Lowell at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
