Volleyball Recap: Ventura Cougars vs. San Jacinto Tigers

After flying high against Segerstrom on Tuesday, Ventura came back down to earth. The Cougars fell just short of the San Jacinto Tigers by a score of 3-2 on Friday.

Ventura's offense was headlined by Aidan McMeekin and Max Mechtenberg, who picked up 13 kills apiece. They got some help from Theodore Souther-Pasquarella and his 49 assists. Finally, he was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Ventura's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-11. As for San Jacinto, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-7.

Ventura does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for San Jacinto, they will be playing in front of their home fans against La Serna at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
