            Baseball Preview: South Allegheny Gladiators vs. Connellsville Falcons        
        
		
        
        
            The South Allegheny Gladiators are taking a road trip to  face off against the Connellsville Falcons  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (South Allegheny 4.1, Connellsville 2.8) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
Connellsville will  challenge  a team with plenty of momentum: South Allegheny extended their winning streak to three last Tuesday. The Gladiators came out on top against Steel Valley by a score of  8-5.
 Caleb Jackowski was  excellent,  going 2-for-4 with two  stolen bases and two  RBI. Those  two  RBI gave  him a new career-high.  Josh Jackowski also deserves some recognition as  he  snagged his first  stolen base of the season.
 South Allegheny was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Steel Valley only posted a  batting average of  .160.
Meanwhile, Connellsville had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They walked away with  a   5-1  win over the Gators.
 Mason Miller looked comfortable as he  pitched three innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in nine consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Grayden Gillott, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with four  stolen bases and one  run. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last five games he's  played.  Noah Zawislan was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with one  run, one  double,  and one  RBI.
 Connellsville's record now sits at 11-5. As for South Allegheny,  the  victory  got them back to even at 7-7.
